Rajeshwari Pandharipande (Ph.D., University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 1981) teaches courses on Asian Mythology, Hinduism, Hinduism in the United States, Language of Religion, Language Variation, Sanskrit, and Hindi literature. She has authored three books entitled, The Eternal Self and the cycle of Samsara: Introduction to Asian Mythology and Religion (Ginn Press: Massachusetts), Intermediate Hindi (Motilal Banarsidass, India), and Never is a long time aur anya kavitayen: a collection of her original hindi poems (Banahatti Prakashan,India). Her forthcoming publications are A grammar of the Marathi language (Routledge), and Sociolinguiatic Dimensions of Marathi.
